When it comes to Online Dating Profile Photos, what you wear matters more than most people think.
Before someone reads your bio or learns anything about you, they’re forming an impression based on your photos alone.
The goal is not to look perfect.
The goal is to look like yourself on your best day. Confident, comfortable, and easy to connect with.
Let’s break it down so you know exactly what to wear and how to build a strong set of photos.
If it’s not something you would actually wear out, it will feel off in your photos and you won’t be comfortable.
The best Online Dating Profile Photos feel natural and effortless.
Fit matters more than brand or style.
Clothes that are too tight, too loose, or constantly need adjusting will show in your photos.
Well-fitted clothing instantly makes you look more confident and put together.
Your profile should not feel repetitive. It should feel like a well-rounded snapshot of who you are.
Aim for a mix of these styles:
Each one gives a slightly different version of you, which makes your profile more engaging.
One of the biggest mistakes people make with Online Dating Profile Photos is wearing the same outfit in every image.
It feels like all the photos were taken at the same time and does not show much personality.
Aim for 4 to 6 photos total, with at least 2 to 3 different outfits.
This gives variety without overwhelming your profile.
Your outfit should make sense for where you are.
When your outfit and location match, your photos feel more natural and believable.
Here’s exactly how to build those looks:

Female:
Male:

Male:
Why it works:
Layers add depth and variety, which always photographs better.
Use this quick checklist to make sure you’re ready:
✔ I chose outfits I actually wear and feel comfortable in
✔ My clothes fit well and do not need constant adjusting
✔ I have 2 to 3 different outfits ready
✔ My outfits cover a mix of styles (casual, elevated, lifestyle, minimal, layered)
✔ Each outfit works with the location I’ll be photographed in
✔ I am planning for 4 to 6 total photos in my profile
✔ My outfits feel like me, just a more confident version
The best Online Dating Profile Photos are not about having the most stylish outfit.
They are about feeling comfortable, confident, and real.
Because when you feel like yourself, that’s what people connect with.

One of the most exciting parts of the wedding photography process comes after the wedding day: designing your album! I know it can feel overwhelming to narrow down hundreds images into just one curated collection, but this part is truly about reliving your day, piece by piece, and creating something you’ll treasure for decades.
When it’s time to select your album photos, my biggest tip is this: think about the story.
Yes, it’s very tempting to pick only the most perfectly posed portraits of the two of you, your wedding party, and family. And of course, we’ll include plenty of those. But your album should do more than just show who was there. It should bring back how it felt to be there.
The best albums read like a visual narrative. Begin by selecting a handful of images from each part of your wedding day:
Aim for around 40 images that give you a full view of your day, almost like chapters in a book.
Once the core of the story is there, go back and fill in with the moments that feel the most you. For many couples, this includes:
These are the pages that will spark memories every time you flip through your album. The way your partner looked at you during the vows. The way your dad smiled during your first dance. The hugs, the clinking glasses, the joy.
I’ll let you in on something personal. I didn’t order an album from my own wedding because I was trying to save money. I figured I’d design one myself later using a cheaper service. That was over 12 years ago… and I still haven’t made it. Our photos are sitting on a hard drive, and we rarely look at them.
That’s why I want to help my couples create beautiful albums now, while the memories are still fresh and the excitement is still real. You deserve to have a beautiful, lasting reminder of your day. Photos that don’t live in folders on a computer, but right there on your coffee table to flip through anytime you want.
Choosing your wedding album photos shouldn’t be stressful. It should be joyful. It’s one last chance to walk through the day, relive it, and wrap it up into something you’ll treasure forever.

When couples think about their wedding photography, they often picture two distinct styles: the natural, emotional feel of candid wedding photos and the structured elegance of posed portraits. But what if you didn’t have to choose one over the other? The best wedding galleries blend both, creating a collection of images that feel authentic, timeless, and beautifully composed. Let’s break down the balance between candid, posed, and even staged candid moments to help you decide what’s right for your day.
There’s something about a candid wedding photo. A moment that unfolds naturally, untouched by direction or planning. These are the images that capture the raw, real emotions of the day:
Candid moments tell the true story of your wedding day. They bring back emotions and create the most authentic images in your album.

While candid moments are emotional and unscripted, posed portraits serve an equally important purpose. These are the images designed to showcase you and your loved ones in a polished, intentional way.

Posed photos don’t have to feel stiff or forced. A great photographer will guide you into natural-feeling poses, giving you prompts that encourage movement and connection. A professional wedding photographer will make even the posed moments feel genuine.

Some of the most incredible wedding photos exist in the space between candid and posed. This is where staged candid moments come in—where the setting is arranged, but the emotions and reactions remain completely real.
Examples of staged candid moments include:
This approach is perfect for couples who want their images to feel natural but also appreciate a little direction to make the most of their photography time.

Every wedding is unique, and the mix of candid, posed, and staged candid moments should reflect your personality and priorities. Here’s how to ensure your gallery has the perfect balance:
The best wedding photography isn’t about choosing between candid and posed—it’s about finding a balance that feels right for you. With a thoughtful mix of natural moments, beautifully posed portraits, and staged candids that let real emotions shine, your wedding album will tell the full story of your day.
